چکیده

Abstract Obesity is one of the principal reasons behind a wide range metabolic diseases and dramatic health complications. Recent studies shed light on chia ( Salvia hispanica L., Lamiaceae) quinoa Chenopodium Willd., Amaranthaceae) seeds identified them as products utmost benefits. The present study was designed to explore molecular mechanisms hydroalcoholic extract those in weight management. Rats were divided randomly into two main groups: control treated. groups received regular chow diet, high-fat green tea. treated diet or extracts. Results revealed that showed hepatoprotective effects anti-inflammatory antioxidant activities, modulated leptin, adiponectin, serum lipid, glycemic profiles. Effects are further consolidated by normal hepatic tissue architecture upon histopathological examination. Moreover, modulation peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors-γ transcriptional activity via activation 5′AMP-activated protein kinase suppression nuclear expression sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1c obese rats compared tea demonstrated. Characterization major secondary bioactive metabolites done using HPLC/PDA/ESI-MS/MS. Our advocates evidence-based nutrition claims use extracts nutraceutical supplements for promoting wellness alleviating its related disorders.

Effect of Exercise and Orlistat Therapy in Rat Model of Obesity Induced with High Fat Diet

Background: The prevalence of obesity is increasing rapidly and, has largely been attributed to increased dietary intake of high energy food and physical inactivity. Advances in adipose tissue biology over the past decades have led to an improved understanding of the mechanisms linking obesity with obesity-associated metabolic complications. Adipose tissue is not merely a passive energy storage...

Altered Left Ventricular Ion Channel Transcriptome in a High-Fat-Fed Rat Model of Obesity: Insight into Obesity-Induced Arrhythmogenesis

Introduction. Obesity is increasingly common and is associated with an increased prevalence of cardiac arrhythmias. The aim of this study was to see whether in obesity there is proarrhythmic gene expression of ventricular ion channels and related molecules. Methods and Results. Rats were fed on a high-fat diet and compared to control rats on a normal diet (n = 8). After 8 weeks, rats on the hig...

An Ethanolic Extract from Licorice (glycyrrhiza Glabra) Exhibits Anti-obesity Effects by Decreasing Dietary Fat Absorption in a High Fat Diet-induced Obesity Rat Model

The present study was to investigate the anti-obesity effects of the freeze dried powder of ethanolic extract of Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra) (LP) in a rat model of high-fat diet induced obesity and hyperlipidemia. Male wistar rats were fed with a high-fat diet for 8 weeks to induce obesity and hyperlipidemia. High fat diet induced obese rats exhibited increases in body weight gain, adipose ti...
